Welcome Self-published Success Story Tori Scott! #52weeksofindie #IRInk

This week we have another Wet Noodle Posse member, Tori Scott. Tori and I entered the self-publishing field about the same time and she left me in the DUST! Today we’re offering you a choice of one of her books–I’ll load the covers at the end and you can see just why!

As always, enter by leaving a comment or tweeting with the hashtag #52weeksofindie.

1)      What was inspires your books?

My books usually start as a line or two of dialogue that pops into my head as I’m trying to go to sleep, which means I have to get up and write them down. That usually leads to me being up for an hour or two, writing 10-12 pages before I have the idea cemented. I never know where these come from. Something I read, or saw on TV maybe.

2)      What’s next for you?

Finishing the sequel to Perfectly Satisfied, then writing the sequels for Blame it on Texas and Superstition.

3)      Busy! I just finished my first trilogy and dang, it’s hard keeping track of all that! When you’re procrastinating, what do you do?

Hang out on Facebook and Twitter, play Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, check out room designs on HGTV.com

4)      Ooh, fun! I love decorating shows. How many books in your TBR pile?

At least 20, but probably more.

5)      I think you win for shortest TBR so far 😉 What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?

Cheese Enchiladas from El Fenix

6)    Mmmm. I just started making my own enchiladas, but I prefer eating at a restaurant–not as messy.  Name 3 of your favorite things.

Swimming, nature/landscape photography, naps

7)  Naps! I’m with you there!    Where can readers find you?

@toriscott2 on Twitter, http://toriscott.blogspot.com, Facebook, toriscott@gmail.com, and on Google+, Goodreads, and Amazon, B&N–all the usual haunts.

So far I’ve loved your book Perfectly Satisfied and Satisfaction Guaranteed. They were funny and sexy. That’s a killer combination in my book. Can’t wait for the next one.

I always love to hear a success story. Congrats on your books! And I have the BEST cheesy chicken enchilada recipe, but like MJ I’d rather eat out.

The problem with ereaders is that my TBR pile expands – mainly due to prolific authors like you and MJ, Tori!!! You’ve forged a brand new way to increase a TBR pile!!!

Comments! Wow, what a nice way to wake up! And now I’m craving cheese enchiladas and it’s Wednesday, which means El Fenix has them on special. Hmmm, wonder if I can come up with an excuse to drive to Dallas? Sigh, if I’d finished the book last night, I could go out to celebrate, but I’d better stay in to write.

I hear you on the TBR pile, Diane. One of the best–and worst–things about having a Kindle is that the hubby has no idea how many books I’ve added to it over the last six months.

Cindy, thank you! I’m down to the last chapter of Finally Satisfied and hope to have it up in a few days, depending on how fast my editor reads and how much work it needs. The cover is already finished and waiting for me.

Sharon, care to share that recipe? A Texas girl can’t have too many enchilada recipes.

Thanks so much Norah, Mona, and Julie. I still pinch myself and thank God every single morning. It’s given me a chance to give up the job I hated and stay home and do the job I love. Life doesn’t get much better than that.

That Undercover Vices cover looks strange up there now. It has a new cover, more along the lines of the Satisfaction covers. I wish I could steal MJ’s covers, though. Especially Midnight Sun. Love that cover! (Don’t tell the hubby I said that. He does my covers. Not a graphic artist, but he tries. :))

Now I want cheese enchiladas too. Had my first fresh-made tortillas at Cherry Creek Mall in Denver, man they were good. Hungry now. Great seeing the good karma coming around Tori, after all the nice things you said about me in your Wet Noodle Posse interview way back. To anyone who hasn’t read Superstition. Buy. Now. My interview’s up on Amazon. Is the sequel done yet? How about now? monly kidding Tori, I know how hard you’re working. XXXXXXXXX

Valerie, next time you’re in the U.S, I’ll buy you an enchilada dinner and a margarita! When are you coming over, anyway? Are you coming for the RWA convention in Anaheim? Disneyland, baby! We can hang out at my kid’s pool, lounge on the patio and drink Mojitos.

Are any of you other ladies going to Anaheim?

Oh, Tori, I’m going to Anaheim! I can’t wait to see you there. I’m not sure what a Mojito is, so I’ll stick to Dr. Pepper. But, I prefer my enchiladas with meat. All enchiladas have cheese, silly.

You are doing a fantastic job as a self-pubbed author! Maybe one day I’ll get there too.

I hope to see you there, Tina. Yes, all enchiladas have cheese, but there’s just something about that chili-cheese combination, when done right, that’s out of this world.

Marion, I’m glad you’re enjoying Superstition! I’m hoping to get to work on the sequel soon.

Thanks Kate! I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I have a great time writing the first 3/4 of the book. It’s the ending that takes me the longest. Why is that?
